The family of Isobel "Izzy" Reyland, a 26-year-old woman from south Wales, have paid tribute to her a week after she was killed in a collision with a taxi in Liverpool. She died after being hit by a white Toyota Voxy private hire taxi on Aigburth Road at around 5.40pm the previous Wednesday, having moved to the city to pursue her career. Her family described her as a beloved daughter, sister, aunty and friend who was "living her life to the fullest" in a "city she loved" before being "tragically taken from us far too soon".

Members of the public reportedly performed CPR at the scene before emergency services arrived, but Izzy died from her injuries shortly after being taken to hospital. The taxi driver, a 41-year-old man, remained at the scene and was arrested on suspicion of causing death by careless or inconsiderate driving while under the influence of drugs; he has since been released under investigation. Merseyside Police, who are examining CCTV and appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage, urged anyone with information to contact their serious collision investigation unit or Crimestoppers.
