A US Air Force servicewoman surprised her younger sister in her sixth-grade classroom after three years of military service away from home. The emotional reunion, which took place in Ohio, was a planned surprise involving the sister's teacher and their mother, and it captured a heartwarming moment of family bonds strengthened despite a lengthy separation.

Jayauna Tyler, who joined the Air Force in 2019 after graduating from McKinley High School in Canton, Ohio, walked into her sister Miah Pierce's classroom on Monday in full military uniform whilst the teacher introduced her as a guest speaker. Miah, unable to contain her emotions, immediately ran to her sister and embraced her whilst her classmates applauded. Their mother, Shayna Taylor, who orchestrated the surprise, described the moment as incredible, saying she had struggled to keep the secret and was overwhelmed with joy at having her daughter home.
