The creator of HBO Max's hit series "Heated Rivalry," Jacob Tierney, has appealed to fans to give the cast and crew space while filming Season 2, which recently began production in Toronto. The plea comes after the Canadian romance series, which follows two hockey stars turned lovers, unexpectedly became a global sensation following its Season 1 debut, catapulting little-known stars Hudson Williams and Connor Storrie into overnight fame and drawing intense fan interest to filming locations.

Season 1 averaged 10.6 million viewers per episode, with audiences growing each week and the finale seeing viewership rise more than 300% compared to the premiere. Since the show's success, Williams and Storrie have become A-listers, attending the 2026 Academy Awards and appearing on "Saturday Night Live," but have also faced overzealous fan encounters, including an incident last month where Williams was filmed confronting fans who followed him home. Season 2 is expected to premiere in April 2027.
