Scottish band Heavy Weather have released their new single 'White Noise', produced by Mark Morrow, who has previously worked with Swim School, Wrest and Fright Years. The West Lothian five-piece are gaining attention on the Scottish music scene for blending a Britpop-influenced sound with contemporary guitar-driven songwriting, and the release marks a notable step in their continued rise. The track was launched with a sold-out show at Edinburgh's People's Leisure Club, underlining the band's growing live following.

The band said 'White Noise' was a deliberate attempt to channel the anthemic swagger of the 90s tunes they grew up on, combined with their own big guitar lines and catchy hooks, drawing on a recent wave of Britpop nostalgia. They described the song as exploring the tension and fear present in today's world, alongside a desire to set that aside and appreciate what makes life worthwhile. It follows the band's efforts to translate their live energy into a studio recording.
