Ron Perlman, the actor best known for playing Hellboy and Sons of Anarchy's Clay Morrow, has signed with talent agency Independent Artist Group, which will also represent his production company Asylm Studios. The move brings one of Hollywood's most recognisable character actors into the IAG fold as the agency looks to strengthen its roster with established, high-profile talent.

Perlman built his reputation through prolific film and television work, including two acclaimed Hellboy films for Guillermo del Toro, with whom he also collaborated on Blade II, Pacific Rim and Nightmare Alley. He has worked with directors such as Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Adam McKay, appeared in franchises including Star Trek: Nemesis and Fantastic Beasts, and more recently featured in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Fallout, Poker Face and Apple TV's Cape Fear. IAG's Andrew Rogers and Kris Heller praised his career in a statement, while Perlman continues to be represented by management firm Link Entertainment.
