Punk musician and BLACK FLAG frontman Henry Rollins will publish a new memoir, "Bait Dog Boy", on 2 March 2027 through Penguin Random House. The 304-page book marks the first time Rollins has written at length about his difficult upbringing, offering fans and readers a deeper, more personal account of the experiences that shaped him before and during his music career.

The memoir traces Rollins's turbulent Washington, D.C. childhood, including being shuttled between indifferent parents and enduring a series of abusive adults, before he met Ian MacKaye and discovered punk rock, which became his escape. Publishers describe it as a "searing" story told in Rollins's characteristically blunt and acerbic voice, exploring what it meant to grow up starved of love and to eventually find belonging on stage. Alongside his music with BLACK FLAG and ROLLINS BAND, Rollins has built a wide-ranging career as a spoken-word artist (winning a Grammy for "Get In The Van"), actor, author, DJ and TV host.
