Colombian singer Karol G has released "Matadora," an explicitly sexual perreo track that premiered live on the opening night of her Viajando Por El Mundo Tropitour on 4 July in Chicago. The song, whose title translates as "killer" or "stunning," continues her run of provocative material and marks the second single from her upcoming sixth studio album.

"Matadora" debuted at number three on the Hot Latin Songs chart dated 8 August, following the more subdued ballad "Después de Ti" with Greg Gonzalez as the album's first preview. The forthcoming record, titled No Me Arrepiento de Sentir Tanto, is being teased through these contrasting singles, with the NSFW lyrics of "Matadora" leaning heavily into unapologetic, sensuality-driven themes set to a hard-hitting reggaeton beat.
