Louis Tomlinson marked One Direction’s 16th anniversary by sharing personal reactions to several of the group’s songs on Instagram. His comments revisited memories of recording and filming, praised former bandmates’ contributions, and underlined the lasting significance of the band’s catalogue despite its 2016 split.

Tomlinson said “Moments” was the first track on which he felt proud of his own vocal, called “Kiss You” a favourite and described “Live While We’re Young” as a major pop song despite not being his preferred track. He associated “Over Again” with Niall Horan and praised the late Liam Payne’s falsetto on “More Than This”; One Direction formed on The X Factor on 23 July 2010 and went on to achieve four Billboard 200 number-one albums and six US top-10 singles.
