Apple has unveiled the first teaser trailer for its television adaptation of William Gibson's 1984 cyberpunk novel "Neuromancer", confirming the series will premiere on 22 January 2027. The announcement was made at San Diego Comic-Con, marking a significant step for a long-gestating adaptation of one of science fiction's most influential works, and continuing Apple's recent run of strong sci-fi releases on its streaming platform.

The series stars Callum Turner as Case, a troubled elite hacker, and Briana Middleton as his partner Molly, a "razor-girl" assassin, alongside Mark Strong, Joseph Lee, Peter Sarsgaard and Clémence Poésy. The plot follows the pair as they carry out a heist against a powerful corporate dynasty harbouring dark secrets. Neuromancer will run for 10 episodes on a weekly schedule, with the first two airing on the premiere date and further instalments released through to 19 March. Gibson himself, an executive producer on the show, publicly praised the adaptation via Bluesky, expressing satisfaction with how it turned out.
