Hermanos Gutiérrez have released *Los Ojos del Cóndor*, a 10-track album inspired by South America’s Andes mountains. The Ecuadorian-Swiss brothers say the project grew from a photograph of their father at Machu Picchu and represents a dedication to the region’s landscapes, cultures and interconnected history.

Produced by Dan Auerbach, the album features the brothers’ cinematic guitar sound, a recurring musical motif, and Alejandro’s use of the Andean charango. Estevan plays a nylon-string guitar given to him by their father, while the album’s themes were reinforced by a trip to Peru, where local people told them the music felt as though it came from the Andes; the record also arrives with a video for “Alma Mia”.
