Swiss-Ecuadorian duo Hermanos Gutiérrez have announced a new album, Los Ojos del Cóndor, due out on 25 September 2026, which draws on the Andes mountain range and their family history for inspiration. Following 2024's space-themed Sonido Cósmico, the brothers describe the record as a "love letter to South America" that explores their dual heritage, having been raised by an Ecuadorian mother and a Swiss father, and revisits childhood memories through the lens of who they are today.

In interviews, brothers Alejandro and Estevan discuss how growing up between two cultures shaped an album that reflects both insider familiarity and an outsider's fascination with South America, echoing their father's own admiration for the continent. They also liken the contradictory character of the Andes, at once calm and stormy, beautiful and dangerous, to the emotional tension running through the record, which represents their seventh studio album.
