Heskey returns to Owls in season-long loan
Sheffield Wednesday have re-signed Manchester City midfielder Jaden Heskey on a season-long loan, bringing him back to the club after an initial loan spell last term. The move, completed in time for Tuesday's League One away fixture at Wycombe Wanderers, gives the 20-year-old a fresh chance to build on his previous stint at Hillsborough and adds depth to the Owls' midfield options as they compete in League One this season.
Heskey, son of former England international Emile Heskey, made his Manchester City debut in the EFL Cup last season before joining Wednesday, where he featured in 20 Championship appearances during the second half of the campaign. Owls sporting director Simon Wilson said the midfielder joins "a terrific group of players competing for selection" and brings attributes that complement the existing squad.
