Titan Comics has announced a four-issue comic adaptation of Gregory Widen's original screenplay for Highlander, with the first 32-page issue releasing on December 2, 2026. The release comes ahead of Henry Cavill's upcoming Highlander remake for Amazon MGM, allowing fans to experience Widen's initial vision before the film arrives. This revival of the 1986 cult classic offers a fresh take on the story forty years after the original film.

The comic series, adapting Widen's original script from when he wrote it whilst studying at UCLA, features Widen himself as the writer and artist Szymon Kudrański. The accompanying Cavill-led film remake is directed by Chad Stahelski (John Wick) and stars Russell Crowe as the Kurgan, alongside Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Djimon Hounsou and Jeremy Irons in a supporting cast. Production began in Scotland in January following a delay caused by Cavill sustaining an injury during pre-production; Crowe has publicly praised the project, expressing confidence that audiences will find Stahelski's direction thrilling.
