The Guardian ·

The authority says managers will offer discussions before tax returns are filed, while new analytics and AI tools will help identify risks among people with income above £200,000 or assets over £2m. HMRC estimates the wealthy tax gap at £3.6bn in 2024-25, or 6% of the UK’s total tax gap, and says its measures will contribute at least £500m towards a broader £10bn revenue goal by 2030.
