Warner Bros. has formally confirmed that a second Hogwarts Legacy game is in development, describing it as the “second installment” of the Harry Potter-inspired action RPG in a letter to shareholders. The statement makes the sequel part of the company’s publicly stated games pipeline and signals that the franchise remains central to Warner Bros.’ plans to improve the division’s profitability.

The company said its games business is focusing investment on fewer, higher-confidence titles drawn from four franchises expected to generate more than $1 billion each. No release date, developer, platforms or gameplay details were announced; however, the original Hogwarts Legacy launched in 2023 and became a major commercial success, making a follow-up a significant prospect for the publisher.
