Palo Alto startup Hoomanely has launched EverBowl, a sensor-equipped dog feeding station paired with an AI platform intended to flag early signs of illness. By tracking changes in eating, drinking, chewing, swallowing, facial temperature and oral movement, it aims to give owners and veterinarians longer-term health information before symptoms become obvious; however, it is not presented as a substitute for veterinary diagnosis.

The company says an 18-month beta collected around 5 million data points from more than 80 dogs, identifying patterns later linked to an infected chipped tooth and tick fever. Hoomanely has shipped roughly 50 devices and charges $29 a month, but has not yet published independent measures of accuracy, sensitivity or false-positive rates. It plans formal veterinary studies and additional products, including a movement-tracking wearable called EverSense.
