A partially-submerged body has been discovered in a livestock trough on a farm property near Murwillumbah in northern New South Wales. The discovery has prompted a police investigation, with authorities treating the property as a crime scene and conducting specialist forensic examinations.
The body was found in a stockyard on Kyogle Road in Terragon at approximately 11.20am on Monday. Police have not yet determined the sex of the deceased or their identity. A post-mortem examination will be conducted in the coming days to establish the cause of death. Terragon is a small rural community with a population of 73 people, located 45 kilometres south of the Queensland border.
