Brisbane jogger seriously injured in attack by two dogs

Daily Mail ·

Ajay Malik, a real estate agent, was seriously injured when two dogs attacked him while he was jogging in Brisbane’s 7th Brigade Park on Friday night. He remains in hospital in a stable condition, and his family says he faces a lengthy recovery, with lost income and medical costs adding to the strain.

Brisbane City Council seized the dogs, which police shot after describing an immediate safety risk, and plans to issue orders for them to be destroyed; their owner has 14 days to appeal. The dogs were registered to one address and had not previously been declared dangerous. Police also found a man’s body about 100 metres from the attack site, but say the incidents are not believed to be connected.
