Burgas has been confirmed as the host city for the Eurovision Song Contest 2027, marking the first time Bulgaria will stage the event. The decision follows Bulgarian singer Dara’s victory in the 2026 contest with ‘Bangaranga’, and gives the Black Sea city an international platform to showcase its cultural scene and tourism appeal.

The contest will take place at Arena Burgas, a sports and entertainment venue opened in 2023 with concert capacity for up to 15,000 people. Burgas, Bulgaria’s fourth-largest city, beat three other Bulgarian contenders in a competitive selection process led by Bulgarian National Television and the European Broadcasting Union, with Eurovision week planned for May 2027.
