How Jonathan Taylor Colts trade drama will ‘most likely’ end
Jonathan Taylor is now expected to remain with the Indianapolis Colts for the rest of the season, despite weeks of trade speculation. NFL insider Tom Pelissero said a deal is “most likely” not happening because the Colts have yet to receive an offer valuable enough to part with the three-time Pro Bowl running back.
The Colts reportedly rejected a second-round pick offer, while the Giants, Vikings and Broncos have shown interest. Indianapolis has already traded All-Pro guard Quentin Nelson to Seattle for third- and fifth-round picks and defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to San Francisco for a fourth-rounder, and is fielding offers for quarterback Daniel Jones. The moves follow a 2-6 start and the October firing of general manager Chris Ballard.
In short
- Taylor is likely to stay in Indianapolis this season.
- The Colts reportedly turned down a second-round pick.
- Indianapolis has traded other major players and is considering offers for Daniel Jones.
