Destructoid has published a tier list guide for "How many Dudes?", a game featuring over 40 different recruitable "Dude" character types, each with distinct abilities for combat and support roles. The guide sorts these characters into four tiers to help players decide which types are worth prioritising during a run, since no two Dudes function identically and choosing well-suited allies can significantly affect success.

The tiers range from S-tier (the strongest picks) down to C-tier (only worth drafting as a last resort), with A-tier and B-tier covering solid alternatives and highly situational picks respectively. S-tier characters include Agent, Bard, Chef, Cleric, Farmer, Lich, Mutant, Ninja, Quantum and Spartan, valued for strong healing, buffing, tanking or damage-amplification effects. A-tier includes characters such as Alien, Assassin, Construction, Dentist, Druid, Electrician, Explorer, Frankendude, Ghost and Manager, each offering useful but slightly less impactful abilities compared with the top tier.
