Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced includes a pet collection system allowing players to equip one active pet aboard their vessel. Four pets are available without additional cost through completing local events or claiming special rewards: Soot the Cat and Albert the Monkey can be unlocked via in-game challenges, whilst two monkey variants are obtainable through Ubisoft website codes and Animus progression.
The remaining four pets are locked behind paid downloadable content, requiring purchase of specific naval packs or the game's Deluxe Edition. Once acquired, players manage their collection through Edward's inventory menu and can view their chosen pet in his cabin or on the ship's deck. The pets serve purely cosmetic purposes and do not mechanically impact gameplay.
