How to get Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
Game Freak and The Pokémon Company are distributing a Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon in Pokémon Legends: Z-A through Mystery Gift. The event marks the first time in 10 years that this Vivillon pattern has been available, and players can claim it without catching or evolving a Pokémon.
The Vivillon arrives at level 66 and can be claimed until 25 February 2027 at 8:59 p.m. EST. A separate Mystery Gift offers a Spewpa with a random wing pattern until 18 November at 8:59 p.m. EST. In the game, Scatterbug evolve into Spewpa at level 9 and then Vivillon at level 12, but those evolutions produce Meadow Pattern Vivillon; a museum side mission’s Spewpa evolves into the Marine Pattern.
In short
- Claim the level 66 Poké Ball Pattern Vivillon through Mystery Gift.
- The distribution is available until 25 February 2027.
- Wild evolutions produce Meadow Pattern Vivillon, not the event pattern.
Explained simply
Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a role-playing game in which players explore the city of Lumiose and collect Pokémon. Vivillon is a butterfly-like Pokémon with different wing patterns; the pattern it has can depend on where it was obtained.
Mystery Gift is the game’s system for receiving Pokémon and other items distributed by The Pokémon Company and game developer Game Freak. Vivillon’s Poké Ball pattern is a special design, separate from the patterns produced by the game’s usual Scatterbug evolutions.
