The catch is that the colours available in the starting tutorial area are not enough, so players must locate a separate, hidden area containing metallic paint options to complete the achievement.

To reach the metallic colours, players first need to unlock the underground tunnels by completing the yellow tower in the northern part of the map, which requires collecting five red gourd items and using a key at a series of yellow keyholes. Once inside the yellow tunnel, players must navigate through a nightclub-like room, a colour-shifting corridor and a purple chamber with ramps to find a hidden painting station with three metallic colour blocks; painting a companion there instantly grants the achievement, and players are advised to take turns so everyone in the group can unlock it.
