The initiative aims to ease the cost and hassle of booking accommodation in a notoriously expensive city, giving attendees walkable, penalty-free options close to the venue.

The partnered hotels are the Hyatt Regency, Hotel Zelos, the InterContinental San Francisco and the Grand Hyatt San Francisco, each offering easy access to Moscone West as well as nearby dining, shopping and cultural attractions. Bookings carry no upfront cost, can be cancelled or modified without penalty, and still earn loyalty points, though the discounted blocks are limited and TechCrunch recommends booking early. Separately, a flash sale offering $100 off Disrupt tickets runs until 11:59pm on Friday, 7 August.
