Fields of Mistria’s 1.0 update allows players to have children after marrying an eligible non-player character. The feature expands the game’s family-life options and awards the Parent achievement once a child is born.

Players can choose from 12 romance options, raising a character’s relationship level by giving them favourite gifts until reaching eight Hearts, when dating becomes available. At 10 Hearts, players can craft and give an engagement ring to marry; after several in-game weeks, they receive a Mystical Feather to discuss starting a family, which the partner may accept or decline.
