Pokémon Pokopia update adds quest to unlock Dive from Manaphy
Developing story first seen 2 hours ago
A Polygon guide explains how to unlock the Dive move in Pokémon Pokopia via the free 2.0 update, which is available to all players regardless of whether they own the Bubbly Basin DLC. Dive lets players explore and build underwater, but it requires completing a specific sequence of quests before it can be learned from Manaphy, a new creature also added in the update.
To unlock Dive, players must first learn Surf from Lapras and raise Bleak Beach's Environment Level to 5, which involves building suitable habitats for local Pokémon. Once Environment Level 5 is reached, Professor Tangrowth reveals a new island near the Sparkling Skylands gate, where a starving Manaphy asks for five bundles of seaweed before teaching Dive. Getting Lapras to appear beforehand requires building a habitat with a large palm tree and four hedges beside ocean tiles, then cleaning 80 muddy spots around Bleak Beach.
- Dive is now free for all Pokémon Pokopia players via update 2.0
- Manaphy teaches Dive after players bring it seaweed
- Requires learning Surf and reaching Environment Level 5 first
