Shark Week, Discovery Channel's long-running annual programming event, returned on Sunday 26 July and runs nightly through Saturday 1 August, with new specials airing from 8pm ET. For viewers without a cable subscription, the event can be streamed live via Sling TV, which carries Discovery Channel as part of its Sling Blue and Sling Orange + Blue packages, making it accessible to cord-cutters who still want to follow the annual shark-themed programming.

Sling Blue offers more than 40 live channels, streaming on up to three devices at once, and includes 50 hours of cloud DVR storage so viewers can record and watch specials later; Discovery+ can also be added through Sling for on-demand viewing, priced at $5.99 a month with adverts or $9.99 ad-free. This is the 38th edition of Shark Week, featuring 20 new specials on shark behaviour, attacks, conservation and ocean science, including "K-Pop Shark Heroes" with Ken Jeong and Rei Ami, "Air Jaws: Red, White and Breach", "Invasion of the Mega Sharks", "Jurassic Sharks", "Jaws vs Orca" and "Ultimate Shark Dive", concluding on 1 August with "Great White Highway" and "Thresher Shark: Stun to Kill".
