How to watch the Microsoft Windows and Surface event

Microsoft’s Windows and Surface event in San Francisco is set to focus on local AI and new PC hardware. It matters because it is the company’s first laptop-centred event in two years, and is expected to offer details about the anticipated Surface Laptop Ultra.

The event starts at 10am PT (1pm ET), will stream on Microsoft’s YouTube channel and is expected to last about an hour. Microsoft chief executive Satya Nadella, Windows and Devices head Pavan Davuluri and Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang are due to speak. The laptop is expected to use Nvidia’s RTX Spark chip, which Nvidia says can deliver one petaflop of AI computing power; its price remains unknown. Windows 12 is considered unlikely, with Microsoft instead focused on updates to Windows 11.
