The U.S. Open tennis tournament is underway in New York, giving fans several ways to follow the action without a traditional cable subscription. ESPN holds exclusive US broadcast rights to the Grand Slam, with coverage spread across ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and ESPN Deportes, while every court is available to stream via the ESPN app for ESPN Unlimited subscribers, making it the most straightforward option for cord-cutters. The tournament also marks the start of a new 12-year rights deal between ESPN and the USTA, running through 2037 and expanding streaming coverage, including a new multi-court "RedZone at the US Open" whip-around feed.

The main draw began on 30 August at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, with third-round matches starting on 4 September. ESPN Unlimited costs $31.99 a month, while Sling TV offers alternatives through its Orange plan ($45.99 a month, over 30 channels including ESPN and ESPN2) or its cheaper Essentials plan ($19.99 a month). Sling also offers short-term passes for viewers who only want access for the tournament, priced at $9.99 for three days or $14.99 for a week. The tournament runs through to the men's and women's finals on 13 and 12 September respectively.
