How to watch this week’s second Nintendo Direct
Developing story first seen 2 hours ago
Nintendo is holding its second Nintendo Direct of the week on 9 September, shifting focus away from The Legend of Zelda to a broader line-up of upcoming titles. The roughly 45-minute broadcast follows Tuesday's Zelda-dedicated Direct, which detailed the Ocarina of Time remake alongside themed hardware, an original-story film confirmed simply as The Legend of Zelda (due 30 April 2027), and related merchandise; this second showcase is expected to concentrate mainly on games arriving for the Switch 2 this winter, with possibly a few longer-term titles included.
The broadcast airs at 10AM ET (9 September) via YouTube and the Nintendo Today! app, followed by a roughly 110-minute Nintendo Treehouse stream showing gameplay from featured titles. A further look at Nintendo Switch Sports Resort ahead of its 22 October release is expected, though unconfirmed leaks pointing to a new Super Smash Bros. game, Fox McCloud DLC for Mario Kart World and a Nintendogs revival may not necessarily feature, and Nintendo is unlikely to dwell further on the already-detailed Ocarina of Time remake.
