Explained simply
HoYoverse is the game publisher behind titles such as Genshin Impact. It makes free-to-play games, which can be downloaded without an upfront purchase and may offer optional in-game purchases.
Life simulation games let players develop a home or community and spend time on everyday activities. Petit Planet combines those features with a space setting, where players can shape a planet, meet furry neighbours and explore other worlds.
Nintendo Switch 2 is Nintendo’s current games console, and a release there would make the game available to its players. The announcement also places Petit Planet among games arriving on multiple platforms, with its other-platform launch planned for December 2026.
