An AI-generated mural that appeared on the Jolly Colliers pub in Bristol was torn down following widespread backlash from locals and the art community. The mural, which depicted various Bristol landmarks, contained multiple significant errors, including an inaccurately rendered SS Great Britain, an incorrect traffic system on Clifton Suspension Bridge, a non-existent viaduct, and a misrepresented version of Banksy's iconic Mild Mild West artwork showing a one-legged figure rather than the original bomb-throwing teddy bear.

The Bristol Mural Collective and local artists condemned the decision to display AI-generated art instead of commissioned handmade work. Caroline Maggs from the collective stated that AI designs undermine and devalue artists' work, viewing the pub's choice as a political statement at a time when AI is increasingly replacing human labour. The collective expressed frustration that a small business had not chosen to support other small businesses in the local art community, and offered to commission a proper artwork to replace it.
