Hull FC staged a dramatic second-half fightback but fell short against Toulouse, who claimed a third successive Super League win to secure they will finish above Hull in the table when the regular season concludes. Toulouse dominated the first half, scoring five unanswered tries to lead 30-0, before Hull rallied with three converted tries in eight minutes to close the gap to 12 points. However, a yellow card for Hull's Harvie Hill and a fine individual try from Toulouse's Cesar Rouge halted the comeback, with Olly Ashall-Bott adding a seventh try for the French side on his return from injury.

Toulouse's early try-scorers included Henry O'Kane (two), Luke Polselli, James Roumanos and Paul Ulberg, with Thomas Lacans instrumental in setting up several scores. For Hull, Aidan Sezer and Lewis Martin each crossed twice, with Logan Moy also scoring, though Sezer also spent time in the sin bin. The result leaves Hull in 11th place, level on 14 points with three other clubs but ahead on points difference, before a final-round trip to Leeds Rhinos on 11 September. Toulouse move up to eighth, above Catalans Dragons, though that could change depending on Catalans' result against York Knights.
