Hunter Biden is pursuing a public image rehabilitation effort that has taken an unexpected turn, with a forthcoming interview alongside far-right influencer Nick Fuentes due to premiere on Channel 5 News later this month. The sit-down, reportedly nearly turning physical, forms part of a broader pivot in which the former first son is recasting himself as a frank media personality and victim of political attacks, even as sceptics question whether the strategy is simply calculated PR spin.

Since being disbarred in Connecticut and Washington D.C. last year following his 2024 conviction on federal gun-possession and tax-evasion charges, Biden has worked with a Los Angeles homelessness charity, is launching an addiction aftercare foundation, and has taken up painting. He recently won $1.7 million in a defamation case against former Overstock boss Patrick Byrne over false bribery claims, and has appeared on podcasts including those of Gavin Newsom and Candace Owens. The Fuentes interview grew out of talks between Biden, Channel 5's Andrew Callaghan and publicist Mitchell Jackson about a high-profile conversation, with the two reportedly also planning to launch a joint podcast.
