Husband of murdered police officer Nisha Patel-Nasri betrayed own guilt by ‘smirking’ during televised appeal to find her killer, documentary reveals

Daily Mail ·

A new Channel 5 documentary revisits the murder of special constable Nisha Patel-Nasri, who was stabbed near her Wembley home in May 2006. Detectives came to suspect her husband, Fadi Nasri, partly because they felt his subdued televised appeal for information seemed insincere; he was later convicted of arranging her killing.

The 29-year-old was attacked with her own kitchen knife shortly after Nasri left home, and died in hospital from a severed femoral artery. An apparent burglary initially drew attention, but cash had been left untouched and there was no forced entry; investigators later uncovered evidence including Nasri’s affair and a life insurance policy. His phone data placed him away during the attack, while the documentary describes how detectives pursued other leads before building the case against him.
