HYBE’s CEO and Musicow’s Chair named vice chairs of the Korea Venture Business Association
HYBE's CEO Jason Jaesang Lee has been appointed a vice chair of the Korea Venture Business Association (KOVA), alongside Jung Hyun-kyung, chair of the Korean royalty-investment platform Musicow. The appointment reflects HYBE's status as a global leader in K-pop and content industries, and KOVA said it expects the company's involvement to strengthen connections between the content sector and Korea's broader venture ecosystem.
The appointments were made at KOVA's board meeting on 18 September 2026, alongside the appointment of three other executives as vice chairs and two as directors. HYBE achieved record quarterly revenue of KRW 1.45 trillion (approximately USD $967 million) in Q2 2026, representing 105.5% year-on-year growth, and generated KRW 2.65 trillion (USD $1.86 billion) in annual revenue across 2025, though operating profit fell 73% due to investment in new artist launches and US business restructuring. Jason Jaesang Lee, who took over as CEO in July 2024, is spearheading HYBE 2.0, a restructuring strategy focused on music, platform and technology-driven growth, including investments in gaming, generative AI and audio technology.
