Hytale’s first major Chapter update will launch on 12 October during early access, introducing several foundational features centred on its goblin faction. The update adds the game’s first handcrafted dungeon, its first proper boss fight and a new Goblin Breach world event, signalling a move towards a more structured RPG experience.

The dungeon is a large underground lair with a distinctive, unpleasant atmosphere, while the Gobliterator is a heavily armoured, multi-phase goblin king using powerful area-of-effect fire attacks. Goblin enemies will be expanded to include some friendly characters, and players can salvage equipment such as a hookshot launcher and rocket boots from invasions; Hypixel founder Simon Collins-Laflamme is offering $15,000 to anyone who defeats the boss alone, naked and in hardcore mode.
