I finally found a magnetic phone grip I never want to remove

The Verge · 2 hours ago

The Verge reviewer says OhSnap’s $50 Snap Grip Stand is the first magnetic phone grip he has wanted to keep permanently attached, after months of use and despite previously finding the brand’s products expensive or flawed. He considers its combination of a slim grip and quickly deployable vertical stand particularly useful, making it easier to hold a phone securely or prop it up without removing or repositioning the accessory.

The 3.7mm-thick aluminium accessory uses a double-sided magnetic ring, allowing compatible phones to attach to magnetic surfaces and permitting some wireless charging. Its rotating, interlocking grip can be used loosely between fingers or more securely around one finger, while a hinged outer ring becomes a vertical stand; added magnets and friction material help prevent unwanted rotation. A cheaper $17 rival offers a similar stand, but the reviewer preferred OhSnap’s firmer finger grip and bare anodised-metal finish.

  • OhSnap’s $50 grip combines a secure hold with a fast vertical stand.
  • Its 3.7mm magnetic design is slim and supports some wireless charging.
  • The reviewer preferred it over cheaper alternatives and earlier OhSnap models.
