System Of A Down frontman Serj Tankian has appeared on a newly released cover of David Bowie's I'm Afraid Of Americans, featured on Can You Feel the End Begin?, the forthcoming album by composer Brendan Angelides. Angelides, best known for his scoring work on Netflix's 13 Reasons Why, Showtime's Billions and the game Assassin's Creed Mirage, said the collaboration grew out of admiration for Trent Reznor's remix of Bowie's original and a long-standing friendship with Tankian.

Angelides explained that the track came together unexpectedly while working on new material over the past year, with Tankian being his first choice of collaborator. The accompanying video was built using childhood photographs of the pair, driven by motion-capture footage they filmed of themselves.
