AFI Fest 2026 has added several high-profile films to its programme, including Peter Farrelly’s *I Play Rocky*, Brad Bird’s animated *Ray Gunn* and Martin McDonagh’s *Wild Horse Nine*. The expanded selection highlights major festival discoveries, star-led premieres and films spanning animation, documentary and drama, building anticipation for the event’s 40th edition.

The festival will run at Hollywood’s TCL Chinese Theatres from 21–25 October, opening with the US premiere of Travis Knight’s *Wildwood*. Other selections include Tony Gilroy’s *Behemoth!*, Florian Zeller’s *Bunker*, Ava DuVernay’s *14th* and Leah Nelson’s animated *Tangles*, while the complete line-up is due on 29 September; passes are already available.
