Dominic West and Sienna Miller discuss their starring roles in new BBC legal drama "War", an eight-part series where they play a divorcing couple engaged in ruthless financial negotiations. West plays Morgan Henderson, a tech billionaire with a seemingly benign exterior that masks ruthless business practices, whilst Miller portrays Carla Duval, a narcissistic Hollywood star determined to secure half her ex-husband's wealth. The drama was created by George Kay and inspired by a chance airport conversation about a four-year divorce battle, though only one scene drew directly from real events—the public service of custody papers to actor Olivia Wilde. Kay drew creative inspiration from 1990s legal dramas including Ally McBeal and The Good Wife, aiming to recreate their wit and fast-paced dialogue.
