A 1972 Jensen Interceptor III once owned by Led Zeppelin drummer John Bonham is going under the hammer this weekend, with Iconic Auctioneers handling the online sale. The car, built using British engineering, Italian design and an American V8 engine, offers buyers a rare piece of rock history alongside a well-regarded classic model.
The Interceptor was first delivered to Bonham on 18 March 1972, registered to John Bonham Enterprises Ltd, and comes with paperwork confirming its provenance. Manufactured at the Kelvin Way Factory in West Bromwich, the vehicle is expected to fetch between £40,000 and £50,000 when it goes to auction on 25 July.
