If you drove yourself mad building computers in Minecraft, Pight’s redstone-inspired puzzling is an affordable palate cleanser
Turkish developer Mindlabor has released Pight, a 2D puzzle game inspired by the redstone mechanic from Minecraft, offering a gentler take on the block-based logic puzzling that led some players to build elaborate in-game machines and computers. The game asks players to manipulate pistons, dynamite, portals and electricity blocks to guide a lightbulb onto a power source, and is being pitched as an accessible, low-stress alternative for anyone who found Minecraft's redstone systems overwhelming.
The game features 90 levels, introducing a new mechanic roughly every ten levels, with later puzzles said to become considerably harder, though an unlimited undo function is available to help players who get stuck. There's also a level editor allowing players to design their own puzzles. Pight is available on Steam for a low price of around £2.87.
