‘Immature playground boasting’: Mathematicians uneasy at OpenAI’s latest scalp

Mathematicians have reacted with unease after OpenAI announced that its latest AI model had solved a Millennium Prize Problem, a class of notoriously difficult mathematical puzzles that had resisted human effort for decades.
