In 5 Days, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Officially Swings Past the Greatest Superhero Movie of All Time
Spider-Man: Brand New Day has passed $1 billion at the worldwide box office in just five days, making it the second-fastest film ever to reach the milestone behind Avengers: Endgame, which took three days. The film also set the record for the biggest Monday haul in history and delivered the largest domestic opening ever with $360 million, offering a significant boost to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following a difficult few years, with Avengers: Doomsday still to come.
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon, the film has already overtaken 2026 releases The Super Mario Galaxy Movie and Michael, and is set to pass Toy Story 5 to become the year's biggest earner so far.
