Country singer Ella Langley has set a new chart record with her single "Choosin' Texas," which now holds the longest-running No. 1 run by a female artist on the Billboard Hot 100 this century. Released in October 2025, the track topped charts not only in the United States but also in Ireland, Australia, Canada and New Zealand, and it is the only song by a female country artist to lead the Hot 100, Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts at the same time. The achievement, alongside success for her album Dandelion, places her among a small group of artists to top both singles and album charts simultaneously.

"Choosin' Texas" has spent 15 weeks at No. 1, putting it alongside Harry Styles' "As It Was" and just behind hits by Morgan Wallen, Luis Fonsi and Mariah Carey on the list of longest-running Hot 100 chart-toppers, with Carey's "All I Want for Christmas Is You" leading at 22 weeks. The song has also surpassed 564 million streams on Spotify. With the single achieving a No. 1 song and album combination, Langley becomes only the second woman in history to reach that milestone, after Taylor Swift did so with "All Too Well (Taylor's Version)" and Red (Taylor's Version).
