Man stops moving school bus after driver suffers medical emergency

Daily Mail ·

Ebro Ahmed, 27, rushed aboard a moving school bus in St Paul, Minnesota, after seeing its doors open and the driver apparently suffering a medical emergency. He brought the bus to a stop using the parking brake, helping protect nearly 20 children and preventing a potentially serious crash.

Ahmed said he felt it was his duty to act, despite the danger, and recalled that some children were screaming while others stayed calm. Two girls near the front helped him; the school district said paramedics attended, no one was injured, the children were transferred to another bus, and counsellors checked in with them the next day.
