Palou's Chip Ganassi Racing team is set for change, with longtime teammate Scott Dixon moving to Arrow McLaren in 2027 after 25 years at the team, leaving Palou as its most experienced driver alongside Kyffin Simpson. He said he does not expect his role to shift, describing a flat team structure where whoever is fastest in practice leads that day. Looking ahead, Palou also discussed IndyCar's future, praising the success of the Freedom 250 Grand Prix in Washington, DC, and giving positive early impressions of the series' new Dallara IR-28 chassis, which he tested in August and was due to trial on the Indianapolis oval.
