Injured Saka will be out for weeks, says Arteta
Bukayo Saka will be out for a few more weeks with a quadriceps injury, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said. The winger was injured during last month’s Champions League draw at Bayern Munich and will miss England’s Nations League matches against Croatia and Spain.
Arteta said Saka may begin returning to the pitch after the international break, while avoiding pressure on Arsenal’s medical staff to set a firmer timetable. Defender Ezri Konsa was feeling better after leaving Wednesday’s 2-1 win over Slavia Prague with knee discomfort. Arsenal lead the Premier League with 24 points from nine matches and are third in the Champions League, two points behind Paris St Germain and Real Madrid.
